Rupert´s Big Adventure

I am starting a parallel series with my recollections project, relating more to childhood reflections and common pastimes, like reading comics. This particular piece is a large scale, charcoal drawing based on the popular UK comic character, Rupert the Bear. He often had fantastical adventures but was also very grounded in a nostalgic, British past. Here, I have imagined this lovable bear beginning to enter the world of uncertainty, which is often what we experience entering into young adulthood.
